Customize status labels
You can customize the status labels specifically on each board.
(!) Custom statuses are custom for each board. Once you've changed a board's status, you will have to activate it on the roadmap manually (desc. below).
To create a custom status:
Go to 'Boards'
Go to the board's settings
Scroll down to 'Status labels'
Customize the labels by changing the names and colors.
Next:
To add the custom statuses to the roadmap:
Go to the roadmap from the main side menu in your dashboard
Click on 'Settings' in the sub menu
Scroll down to 'Statuses' and uncheck/checkmark the 3 statuses you want to show on your roadmap. You can add 3 statuses, so you first have to uncheck some of the defaults and then checkmark the newly created custom statuses, like this:
