Private roadmap

If you don’t want your roadmap to be public, there are a couple of ways to hide it for users and outsiders.

1. Team-only
Completely turn off the roadmap and your Upvoty URL for everyone outside your team. Only you and your team members are able to see and work on it.

2. Team + Users
Turn off the roadmap and Upvoty domain for outsiders and only share it with users

_________________________

1. Team-only

Visible to: You and Your team. No outsiders.

Go to 'Settings' in the dashboard

Go to 'Privacy'

Toggle 'Upvoty domain' and 'Indexing' to 'OFF'

Hit 'Save' and your Upvoty is no longer accessible to outsiders.

You and your team members, when logged in, will still be able to visit the URL and see the roadmap and all the boards.

Users will see this message:
"Nothing here. Contact support if you have any questions."

2. Team + Users

Visible to: You, your team, and users that have access via your application's SSO.

Go to 'Settings'

Go to 'Privacy'

Toggle 'Upvoty domain' and 'Indexing' to 'OFF'

Hit 'Save' and your Upvoty is no longer accessible to outsiders.

Next, choose one of the options to share your roadmap/boards:

Option 1: Embeddable Widget in your product:

Embed the roadmap widget on one of your pages within your site or application.

Option 2: Feedback Portal with User SSO access:

Set up User SSO Redirect with private access and share your URL with your users. They'll need to first sign up via your application in order to view the contents on your feedback portal and participate. Set up: Dashboard -> Settings -> User SSO -> Feedback Portal -> SSO redirect.

TIP: If you want to use the Feedback Portal, set up your own custom domain.
