| Roadmap

The roadmap is based on the homepage of your Upvoty (you can see it by visiting your Upvoty portal when clicking on 'PUBLIC VIEW' from your dashboard). The roadmap is here to share the things that are "in the loop".

FAQs:

How do I share the roadmap with my users?

You can share the roadmap by simply sharing your PUBLIC VIEW url, which is by default hosted on our .upvoty.com domain, but you can also set up your own custom domain. Besides that, you can also embed the roadmap in your product with the links to your board(s) via an embeddable widget.

"What if I don't want to share the roadmap with my users?"

You can simply turn off your complete homepage and use it internally only.

"What if I do want my homepage with the links to boards but don't want to show the roadmap?"

You can simply hide the roadmap element from your homepage.

How do I customize my roadmap?

You can change the colors, upload your logo, and more, all in the settings of your Upvoty dashboard.

User SSO

You can authenticate your existing user accounts to automatically identify users when they visit your boards.

Go to 'Settings' from the main side menu in your dashboard
Go to 'User SSO'
Pick the method that is right for you:

Widget: if you embed our widgets Feedback portal: If you're using the Public view (on .upvoty.com or your custom domain)

Follow the instructions (or forward it to your dev team if you're not technical) 🙌

|| You can also set-up SSO Redirect with Private Access for the 'Feedback Portal' so every visitor first has to log in to your application before they can see its contents and participates.

Billing

You can update your credit card or download invoices in the billing section.

Go to your dashboard
Hover your avatar on the top right
Click 'Profile'
Billing
Update your credit card (notify us when there was a problem with charging before) or download invoices 🙌

Custom domain

If you do not want to use our .upvoty domain to share your roadmap and board(s), you can set up your custom domain.

|| You can also turn the portal offline and use the board widget or roadmap widget with all boards included.

To set up a custom domain:

Go to your Settings in the admin dashboard
Navigate to 'Custom domain'
Follow the steps to add a CNAME
You can select to what part of your Upvoty domain your custom domain should link (by default it will link to your roadmap, but you can also link to a single board).

After you've followed these steps, all boards will be on the custom domain 🙌

Embed board widget

You can embed each board separately within your own website or application:

In your admin dashboard:

Go to boards and click on the board you want to embed
Click ‘Widget’ from the sub menu
Copy + Paste the widget code into your site or application 🙌

Customize your Upvoty

You can customize your Upvoty account by changing the colors, language, uploading your company's logo, changing the date format, and much more!

Basically, most customizations are available in the dashboard's settings:

Go to your dashboard
Click 'Settings' from the main side menu
Customize the things you want, such as:
